About AMD Tyres, Brakes and Service
An independent garage on North Station Road, Colchester.
We are an independent garage at 177 North Station Road, between Colchester town centre and the station. We fit tyres, do brakes, servicing, diagnostics, exhausts and welding, and we recover vehicles locally back to the workshop.
We are not part of a chain. When you ring, you get the people who will be working on your car, and the price we quote is the price you pay.
The workshop
You will find us on North Station Road with tyres racked outside and the sign above the door reading Tyres, Brakes and Service.
What is on that board is what we do: servicing, repairs, diagnostics, exhausts, brakes and tyres.
It also says MOT checks, and that one is worth a sentence. It means we look over a car for what an MOT would pick up, and repair it. We are not a test station and we cannot do the test itself. Book that wherever you like, and bring us the sheet.

Questions we get asked
Do you do MOTs?
No. We are not an MOT test station, so we cannot do the test itself. What we do is everything a car fails on, and everything that comes up as an advisory: brakes, tyres, suspension, exhausts, corrosion and welding. Bring us the failure sheet and we will tell you what it costs to put right.
Where are you and is there parking?
177 North Station Road, Colchester, CO1 1UX. We are on the main road between the town centre and Colchester station, so if you are coming off a train it is a short walk.
